My other half works six days and then has 4 days off, then 7 days on and 4 days off and the circle goes like that.
He is due to finish his working week coming off a night shift this coming Sunday morning (Valentines) at 4am...he will then be asleep until early afternoon and should have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off but those 3 days have been cancelled due to a course they have put him on 8am-4pm Monday-Friday next week. So he will only have 1 day off before going back to work.
Then from the Saturday he has to work the days he would normally work which is through to the following Wednesday. So he won't have any real time off to relax until Thursday 25th...4 days before our baby is due! This is really getting to me because I know I am getting more anxious as my due date approaches and also when he is tired from working (which he will be extra tired because of this crappy schedule) I know he gets cranky and stressed and I don't want it to affect me and the baby.
I know that sounds quite confusing lol but I couldn't find an easy way to explain it.
Well maybe any time he takes away from work when the baby arrives will help rejuvenate all :) Those schedules are killer, the rotating ones. Makes it hard to plan anything... Maybe a heart to heart on priorities is in order?
