I've been with my partner for over 6 years, we've been long distance since the beginning and he's always done shift work.
For the past 3 years I've been feeling extremely lonely. Ive mentioned to him for a few years now that although I'm getting my masters degree, have my own things, and we're in a good relationship, I'm just not "satisfied" that I'm lonely and that our relationship has not progressed in 6 years. We know that we love eachother but for the past month we're hardly talking to eachother because I'm just tired of this situation and he's always doing shift work so he's always sleeping when he's done work.
I'm struggling with the distance and lack of communication due to shift work. Ive been trying to keep my mind busy but I cant help but cry almost everyday in private due to not getting to do the simple things in life with my parenter like grabbing a coffee whenever we want, have dinner together, or watching a movie together. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with the loneliness because im exhausted and I'm really trying not to leave our relationship.
