That's difficult -- I hope you find a way to have some fun with your kids today. How thoughtful of him to send a card and flowers.

I am wondering what the day will be like for me. My AH is drinking again. Will he be a little drunk or totally shitfaced? My kids (they are adults) will head over. I have not told them that he is drinking again, but they won't be surprised. I had wanted to go out for dinner, but that could be a disaster so guess not.

Ladies, I hope your day went as well as it can, considering the circumstances. My dad took care of my son so I could do whatever I wanted yesterday and it was glorious. I'm going to celebrate Father's Day also and spoil myself since I play both roles any way. :)

My heart breaks for you.... My husband was an idiot on Mother's Day making me, our grown sons and the girlfriends uncomfortable. He remembers a different experience. And has no memory of the weirdest of his actions.

Yah...mine was so accustomed to filling in the blanks that reality was mostly nonexistent. ...and GOOD FOR YOU Jennybobenny. ..because we DO have to assume their father role!
