So this is how my AH thinks and tell me this isn't just assinine. He can't understand why Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson would lose their jobs. After all - the NFL pays them to play football and what happens at home has nothing to do with their jobs. Because if he got in trouble for domestic violence or child abuse, he wouldn't lose his job so why should they? I tried to explain that they are 'hero's' to millions of kids out there and violence is not setting a good example - but the NFL is setting a good example by telling the world they will not tolerate violence. My AH argues that Ray Rice's wife deserved to be knocked out because she hit him first. We women have been fighting for equal rights for years - isn't it equal if a man 'defends' himself? And as far as the child abuse - the child probably deserved it. Huh. Yep - my AH wanted to sit and start an arguement with me the other night stating all of this so matter-of-factly. I looked at him like "Are you kidding me?" And just said "I guess you are entitled to your opinion." (Regardless of how idiotic it is.) He is always right regardless of what I have to say so it makes no sense to debate. I think the alcohol has made him develop a hatred toward women in general. He remarks about my friends and all of MY friends are idiots or dumb. Of course they all think he is an idiot as well. I have smart friends. :-).
