Hi everyone, it's me rccola5816. So not sure what happened but my account was closed so I had to open a new one. I have some updates. On Saturday the family was invited to visit him in rehab. I went with my 3 kids and his parents. He has only been there for 5 days, not sure why he was given a prize to see the family. When i walked in he went on and on how he has to clean and cook here, etc. how he was given a prize a family visit due to good behavior. I told him good, about time you learn you are 43 years old! I tried to be encouraging, but very hard for me. I sat and barely talked. He kept on trying to get me alone. Told me he is doing everything he can to get his wife and family back. The thing is, I looked at him this time and felt nothing. I felt like he was a friend of mine who is sick. I want him to get better but it doesn't matter to me anymore. I kept on thinking,. where were you a year ago when I said that's it?
I left the rehab facility with mixed feelings. Cried the whole way home. Not because I felt bad for him, rather I realized that i just don't care anymore.
So, yesterday he was given a pass to go and do some medical tests. His father went and picked him up and was supposed to take him to the test and then back. At around 1:00 PM I got a call from him, that he wanted to see the girls. He wants to take them out for a half hour and then return them. My first reaction was, why? The kids do not understand where there Dad is. We lied (which I am very annoyed about) and told them he is at an army base. In our country the army is mandatory so it wasn't a shock to them. But my kids are very smart and started asking tons of questions when we were there. Anyways, I felt that it would be very confusing to them. On one had we told them he is in a closed place and cannot call and we can only see him on specific days. On the other, all of a sudden Dad will show up unannounced. Anyways I decided i cannot fight him on this one since he is legally allowed to see them and pick them up whenever he wants. So i called the school and told them to inform me when he picks them up and when he returns them. In the end it was fine, he took them out for 15 minutes and they were very happy. What aggravated me was he is supposedly in rehab, with no access to the outside world. His father who knew his job was to pick him up and drive him back put me in an uncomfortable situation and yelled at me that i did not act right. He can see his kids whenever he wants!
My AH managed to fight with his whole family during these few hours. He then called me and his words exactly "listen if you don't want to come and see me and be supportive of me at rehab you will not be forced to, send the kids with my parents and don't waste your time" Wow did he put the guilt trip on me. When I think about it, all that happened yesterday was one big manipulation so he could tell his parents, "you see what she is doing to me..."
So as you can see the past 2 days were a roller coaster... Now it is quiet and will be until Saturday when I take the kids to him. I am dreading what will happen in 2 weeks from now when he leaves rehab and then I will hear the famous words, "I am cured take me back" but this time I will be waiting with the papers....
