I'm mot married.Been together 17 years. I knew he drank a lot when we met. I just thought he liked to have a "good time" we moved in (or shall I say I let him move in with me) and discovered he wakes up drinking, even before going to work. He lost so many jobs going in drunk, and going off on his bosses, and Of course it's never his fault.nothing ever is,but I notice he gets a lot of "drunk passes" from everyone because he claims to not remember his drunken behavior the next day, or flat out says I'm lying on him. Staggering all over the house, bouncing off the walls like a pinball game. None of the pictures on my wall have glass anymore because he has bumped into ALL of them. Hollering, cursing, threatening, belittling and LYING!! Oh, the lying is bad. He's spent so many nights out, claims to have fallen asleep in his car,I've caught him in that lie, red handed with a woman (drunk as well) in his car early with his shirt on backwards. He blames his drinking on me, which I know is not true. He fallen asleep laying in the driveway.on the porch, and several times,he's had to be physically carried into the house. Falling all over the neighbors yards. Staggering up and down the street. I'm scared he's putting our home in jeopardy by being seen in the street so drunk and vulnerable. Then when he's not drunk,he doesn't talk at all. It's like he spends half of his time getting drunk, and the other half recooperating from being drunk. My kids have grown not to like him,as have I. I am currently going to school to better my life in preparation for the day I can move on, because he does contribute to the house (not alot) but I do need it. I'm just so tired of the disrespect
