I’m so disheartened right now. Joke’s on me, really. Last night, really good friends of my AH’s had a “meeting “ w my AH about his drinking. This was a big deal. My H has been friends w these guys BEFORE me (we’ve been together 15 yrs). Anyway, they shared their concerns w him. Concerns about him, his drinking. He came home from the meeting drained. He knew his friendships w them we’re on the line. He was sad and exhausted. I thought maybe he’ll take what they said to heart and realize what his drinking does to people and relationships. Nope. Not to be. He was drunk. Tonight. Barely 24 hrs later. He doesn’t get it. He doesn’t. When am I going to finally call it? Game over. When will I make the change? He’s not going to make a change, so it’s up to me. I’m disheartened. I’m a fool. But I’m also in control. I CAN leave. I can make him leave. I can make the change. It’s coming soon, I can feel it.
