Oh no! I feel it though.
Mine was doing slightly better, got drunk at my sisters house on Christmas Eve and started in with me as soon as we got home. Ruined things for me too.

I am so sorry. The devastation of one drink is no little thing. My husband almost died due to alcohol and was sober for 7 months before he drank again. The sadness, frustration, disappointment, and anger is overwhelming. Hang in there lady.

It's suck a blow when things are going well and he decides to drink. My AH has done it so many times....

I hope his drunkenness was a one-time event and he chooses sobriety and you.

Thanks AnaChai. How scary. My husband has been in two serious car accidents because of his drinking and still thinks he can control the amount he drinks when he is drinking.

Pure delusion at every turn. Starting sobriety over sure knocks the wind out the sails. I guess I just can’t get comfortable and ever forget what’s on the other side of this life because stability is illusive.

Mine needs to have respect for the power alcohol has over him and stop thinking he has power over it. Maybe then I can worry less, but in life there aren’t any guarantees.
