My journal entries on this site go back a few years. I think to 2011. So this morning I took a little stroll down memory lane......
Jeez.....! How much time have I wasted on this little project of mine? I must be out of my mind! When you wake up with cardiac symptoms it is most definitely time to change things up. I am too old for this.
This morning is literally the very first time EVER that I really don't care if he is angry. The person I loved is gone, and I really do not like the one who took his place. Enough said.

I hope you're feeling better today, and you had your heart checked out.

I take the most comfort knowing his situation is his situation and I didn't create it and can't fix it. Take care of you.

We're in the same boat. I found old writing tablets and journals that I'd poured my thoughts into to try to hold onto my sanity over the few decades spent with Mark. ...He never did cha nge his drinking. ..if anything it got worse. I can't see any way to really heal from everything that went down in those years. ...and Mark probably was in blackouts with no knowledge of much of what he'd done....and went to his grave without ever knowing.....and now here I am forever damaged. It's crazy, but I also feel utterly brokenhearted.
