Friday the 13th and it is my birthday. I told some friends that I am hoping it is my last "Worst" birthday every. Valentines day happens to be my sons birthday.
Guess what I got for my birthday?
I got between 3 1/2 and 4 hours of sleep because the loser I am still married to decided to come home from the bar at 2:30 (Mind you it is Thursday night and we have to work tomorrow). Then at 4:00 am I wake up to the jack ass puking off the side of the bed onto the carpeting, onto the wall, on the sheets, in his drawer. I pick up my phone to get some video. it is dark, but at least I could capture some of the puking noise. Loser finally goes into the bathroom. I turn on the light and I take a picture of the puke on the floor and took a picture of the time and date of when this is happening. I don't think my divorce lawyer understands the extent of his disease and what I deal with. I leave for work at 7:30 - he is snoring away.... he never complained of any horrendous abdominal pain (maybe pancreatitis, septus, cirrhosis....) so I'm not going to bother to see if he is alright because to be honest - I hope he isn't.
3:15 PM - he texts me and wishes me a happy birthday and apologizes for keeping me awake. He can't understand why he got so sick. Well gee - lets see.... Spending the last 11 hours at the bar had nothing to do with it dumb ass? He spent more time at the bar than he did at work Thursday. I can't understand how he got so sick either....(really - I must be stupid)
5:30 pm I get home from work and pick up alchi to go out to eat with my oldest son and his girlfriend. We get to the restaurant and happen to sit with another couple we know. My alcoholic loser husband had to of mentioned at least 3 times throughout dinner how it was our son's (middle child - he wasn't at dinner with us) birthday tomorrow and how he is turning 21 and how his 'great' dad is making this big feast on Sunday to celebrate his birthday....There was absolutely NO MENTION of the fact that today happened to by MY birthday and that is why we are out celebrating. At the end of the meal when we were getting ready to leave, the waitress sets a small wrapped box in front of me and wished me a happy birthday. How sweet. So the other couple we were sittng with looked at me with a confused look on their faces and said "Is it YOUR birthday?" Yes. Yes it is. So if you are guessing right - they were a little taken back with the fact that my asshole of a husband does everything he can to direct any attention away from me. And the best part was - my SON paid for dinner!!! L-O-S-E-R!!! The dumbass can't even buy me f'n dinner on my birthday. And I was pretty much out cold my 9:00 Friday night because of the lack of sleep I got the night before. Jackass took the day off of work - lucky him.
This is alcoholism at it's finest.

I'm so sorry your day stunk, but what a sweet son you have!!
I hope above all hope that you DID NOT clean up his puking mess!! He should have to do that himself since he made it.
I'm glad you got yourself some rest. I know even when we get 7-8 hours of sleep we can awaken exhausted because of the daily stress living with an alcoholic. Maybe get yourself a massage for your birthday? Do something kind for yourself.
Some men and women feel it a right of passage to go out and drink on the 21 birthday
Well he is a good example why not to . He can be a inspiration to your son
As to how addicting and deadly drinking is
Happy Past Birthday
