Hi ladies,

I am currently dating a high functioning alcoholic. His verbal abuse has become bad, always picking arguments, ranting and raving and carrying on. In the mornings it always seems to be my fault its like he forgets he was drunk and said those things even though he can read them back via text.

I finally spoke up and told him our relationship can no longer continue if his drinking does, to which he blamed his bad behaviour on me...again. we havent spoken in 2 days (which doesnt seem like much but its never been this way before and we dont live together) and im wondering.... is he sitting there scared hes going to lose me or is he sitting there still in his self pity, denial state drinking?

Im at a loss on what to do. I cant stand the chaos anymore but i adore him during the days when hes sober.
