Hello everyone, I am having the hardest time focusing. Since I kicked my husband out two days before Christmas, All I can think about is getting my shit together in case we split up. In the meanwhile at my job I lack focus. I don't have passion for what I am doing anymore. Let's just say it's been a stressful six years and between my job, rasing my daughter and dealing with my husband. I am out of gas. I can't remember things from a day to day basis like the name of my daughters preschool teacher. I wonder with all the stress if I am just forgeting things or if my mind is stretched to thin and pulled in to to many directions. I am considering going back on anxiety drugs to help me organize my thoughts. I just sometimes want to run away and not come back. Has anyone else experienced this?
Oh Singer ur not alone, I come to work everyday and find myself gazing out the window at my desk and getting no where... I have no passion anymore for anything. I try to get my self motivated and make plans but it just never works out. But kodos to you for being strong enough to kick him out I hope thats working good for u! I'm ready but i'm still afraid of who will take care of him, even though I ignore him at home while he's drunk at least I know he's safe. I hate the control alcohol has on him and myself!
Yes, I experienced something similar. The stress is almost debilitating, and sucks the joy from all other areas of your life. It takes time to rebuild. If you feel anxiety meds help, do what you need to do. Before that though, you may want to have your vitamin D level tested. Mine was practically non-existent, and once it was increased and stabilized, the fogginess lifted, and I was able to concentrate again. Low levels also cause depression. I religiously take a vitamin D supplement now. It gets better, truly.
Good luck to you! Hugs
