My husband is passed out again, his binges are getting longer and he can't stay sober for more than a few hours a day. He agreed to see a counselor today but she had to cancel, so he got drunk and came home. I don't want to live like this anymore so I met with a lawyer today, she said until I am ready to file for divorce I can't do anything other than ask him to move out (yeah right, like he'll be happy to oblige.) Or move out with the kids and stay with my mother.

Am I insane to have any hope?
