I know I posted before that my AH was "taking" Antabuse meds, he did admit that he was not taking them. He since however HAS been taking them. I know they are the correct pills and I've seen him take them, but I still doubt that they truly work for him. I've read that "oh no- the person will get violently ill if the smallest amount of alcohol enters the system." I also read a few entries where people said it really had no affect. So frustrating. I hate being clouded by doubt. It's not fair to him if/when I accuse him- and also not fair to myself.
On one up side- he had an eye opening therapy session about a week ago. He battles depression stemed from childhood abuse. She said something profound that has made him question how he really views himself. Mentioned that a weight had started to be lifted off his shoulders. I'm hoping he's not just saying what he hopes I want to hear. Its hard to not get my hopes up that he/we may move forward. I try to keep myself grounded and just focus day by day- I just want the hard part to be over.
