So its been a week and one day since Ah has been discharged from the hospital. Completely sober. So in case you missed my last posts a quick recap. Hub was brought to ER by his brother with a BAC of .38 a week ago last friday. He was admitted, detoxed and released 3 days later. This is the first time he has been in the hospital. He has been begging for help for months but unable to make the leap into rehab himself.
So while in the hospital and since he has been home. He vows not to drink again. He believes whatever had hold of him has released its grip. Now, this probably isnt the place for this discussion but do any of you believe in bad energy, demons, things like that?? I know some of you will think I am crazy but I have seen ghosts most of my life. Our last house was haunted and I had night terrors there for the first 15 years of our marriage. I always felt a pull toward the evil there. Ok so where am I going with this???.... So, he is in the hospital, wakes up, been crying for days and begging for help for months from anyone that would listen to friends to priests. He wakes up in the hospital and tells "his demon" as he calls it, "that he isnt afraid anymore. He faced his demon. and it has no hold on him anymore. One more thing worth mentioning, Saturday when I got home from the hospital. around 7 pm. I was standing in the kitchen and a flash of red light went thru the house. We live in the country. Off the road, no lights, At first I thought lightining, but clear skies. then I thought, a power surge. But nothing was blown. So, I cant explain it.
Since he has been home. No shakes, no withdraw, no whiskey. Too good to be true??? Divine intervention?? Afraid to put my guard down. Taking one day at a time. Not sure of what the future holds. But what happened last wk is nothing short of a miracle in my opinion
I know. They are real....one third of the angels who were cast "Here on EARTH ". WOW!. The reason I love God, want a deep relationship with him is because of what I was rescued from. I'm so happy for him/you!. Demons try to come back to places they've been, maybe not right away, but . It is said once a demon leaves a place and wanders thru dry arid places seeking rest then he will come check where he used to live...finding it all cleaned up will take 7 more with him and move back in. I take that to heart because I did that for years, they came back, this time I am filled with the Holy Spirit so there IS NO ROOM FOR THEM. So the one who lives IN me has authority over them and they HAVE to leave.
Wow. Thanks Laurie. It is what I suspected. I feel we have been fighting them for a very long time. Our finances have taken a drastic hit and in that area we are only hanging on by a thread and that thread is getting thinner by the day but I have faith. If God brought us through this then the rest is just gravy. 2 wks sober today :)
Oh my Goodness yes!!!!!
My mother always said that the demons sneak in the destroy family through our weaknesses! Doe most of my life I have found this to be true. I am Always amazed when I ask the Divine for help .... It arrives!
Amen
After a lifetime of insanity, I found that by putting God at the top and focus on that He takes care of everything else. I realized I don't have to keep being stronger than we humans were designed to be....as it's only Jesus who is ABLE to handle our troubles. Well! I just typed what I needed to hear myself this morning as well! How cool is that! Sisters, there's something powerful in what we claim.....be ready to come against the evil one with God's word. They look for vulnerable spots to come at us...they always will...but we can be ready, and shut them out. God bless you today!
I wouldn't let your guard down. Although God can choose to do spontaneous miracles and cures, it could be a test. Your husband's sobriety will take upkeep and maintenance. You need to get healing too from codependency and all the trauma you've experienced. Otherwise the old way of things will resume.
For your sake, I hope you experienced one of those spontaneous miracles. But like the other said before, don't put your guard down. Time will speak for itself.
