Wives of Alcoholics Community Group
A forum of healing and help for wives of alcoholics.

Well so am I! Leaving is scary. See, my husband showed up to soccer carpool slurring his words. I was already at the field with a different child and he was planing on watching the practice and then driving my son and 2 other children home. I told him To go home so he could at least be home with our younger child so I could come back to the field for carpool. He refused. With last minute notice I had no one to watch my younger child (10) and left him home alone to put himself to bed because it was safer than drunk driving. My fear is that living with him I can see this happen .. this was not the first time, but if we are apart and the kids are on his day.. I will have no control. For the safety, I have to just suck it up buttercup- and deal with blame, mood swings and the loneliness. That night I didn't come home for the first time ever and he called me 15 times and I got the nicest note ever.. to my darling wife.. next day after that back to the same old crap! Roller coaster. But according to him, I have the problem
