Back again and LOST!!

I haven't been on here for a while as for a while it seemed to have gotten better but it in fact has gotten soo bad !! I love a 15 year old son and 9 month old daughter , i always knew he had bit of a problem but I only really noticed it when my daughter was 3 months old and he blacked out he went to a doctor took tablets for little while and stopped drinking for few weeks and wasn't as bad it was always was cans of beer then I could feel it getting bad the 2 cans a night turned into 4 a night and that was on top of whatever he had in the pub after work he always denied but it was obvious by his humour plus the car was always parked badly , then on the 23rd of December while I was cleaning the house I found a bottle of vodka hidden under the kitchen sink !! I couldn't believer it and on New Years he drank 24 cans and the following day I found hidden bottle of whiskey I told him it's gone to far he promised to get help I got a ph number for him but now he won't even call it so I don't know what to do anymore

I’m so sorry you’re going thru this. It’s so incredibly hard living with an alcoholic. But I’m happy you found this group. It’s so great knowing that you have this support and that there are other people going thru the exact same stuff everyday. Hang in there!!

I remember the first time I found hidden alcohol containers. How angry I got and how betrayed I felt. The first time, he had been sober for a year, but i had a sense that something was off and that he had to be drinking. He was slurring words, bad jokes at my expense, glazed over look in his eyes. He denied it of course, until I one day started looking, and boy did I find evidence. He kept hiding evidence anyways. After a 3 year bout of sobriety, I looked again, when I started suspecting something. He still hides them, even though he knows I know, and that I am done with him and his ways. I used to clean them up because I was tired of seeing them hidden all over the house and garage. Now, his room is so full of empty bottles, he cannot even keep clothes in the dresser. Behind and under the bed so bad, they fall out sometimes. It is so ridiculous. I've decided that I will not clean up after him anymore.

My AH used to randomly stick bottles in hiding. I think he would forget where he put them. Lol! Lately he hides in a small storage in the arm of his recliner chair. It's so funny I know he's drinking but he will store it there n pull it out to take a swallow (He doesn't mix drinks holds a swollen in his mouth n chases with sprite) if I walk into the room he's like a kid just getting caught in the cookie jar. I'm like why bother I'm not stupid!

Blue sprite, that sounds exactly like what I'm going through. It feels calmer to know that there are others dealing with this and we have this support network.
