So last night, he was pretty drunk and our little girl was riding her bike in the front yard with the neighbor girl. The neighbor girl came into our yard and he told her to leave because he didn't trust her not to take pictures of our daughters vagina, which did happen last summer. My older daughter had told me what they were doing and I confronted the girl but the father came over later that night and apologized and said the pics were deleted. These neighbor's are the ones that turned my AH in for driving drunk a while back. I didn't want to cause to much trouble over it. But the neighbor was in the road screaming at my AH last night and AH wanted him to come into our yard and assault him so he could kick his u know what... nothing happened and my AH told me that he's going to keep riling up the neighbor until he loses his mind. Isn't that crazy? I told him that's what he was doing to me too which he didn't respond to. He says he's never going to stop until he gets revenge on that neighbor. I think he's crazy. He made sure to talk loud enough for them to hear him last night next door and it made me so uncomfortable!!!!
I'm dealing with something similar. My AH owns a house in which the husband of his deceased mother has been granted a life estate (the right to live rent-free in the house for the rest of his life). This man is not his step-father. They were never close, and in recent years, the man has launched a series of events that you could call "neighbor wars".
My AH is also obsessed with "getting even" with that man.
The only thing I suggest that works, is that every time your AH brings up the subject about doing something "to make the neighbours pay", change the subject. Don't argue or encourage him, or even discuss those "scandal pics" from the past. Don't rehash any of it.
If he persists on thinking up some dasterly deed he wants to do to the neighbours, warn him that you will not be loyal and you report anything he threatens to the police if the police have to investigate anything. Talk about want the penalty is if your AH is caught. And promise him that you will tell the police all if one thing happens to the neighbours.
That works with my AH. He was so childish to buy fireworks and wanted to make smoke bombs for the man downstairs to choke him. I told him under no uncertain circumstances that if I found so much as a single firework in my house again, I'd call the police.
Weissdorn, you are brave. I can't even imagine what would happen if I told him I would call the police on him. I would rather just not encourage him or ignore him.....I can't handle anymore stress....

It worked.
