Hi everyone, my name is Jackie, I have been married to my AH since 1981. I began my DS association on the friends and families of addicts group since hubby became addicted to opiates and tranquilizers during the last 5 years due to recurrent back surgeries. I have been through Al Anon, and one on one therapy. And although I am still married to him, I live my own life, follow my own interests, and am FINALLY setting and maintaining my boundaries. I have stayed because I am financially entangled. All that being said, the man drives me nuts. He actually believes this detached " peaceful coexistence" is our happily ever after.
He is a textbook example of a self centered, in denial, moron who actually thinks no one can tell when he us stoned. Tonight he is stoned on tranquilizers , if he was tranquil and pleasant it might be worth it!
