When is enough enough.....I am so very tired... I don't think I have not slept more than two hours at a time for almost a year. Neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.
I can't keep up with Dennis one day he sleeps all day, the next he is in the garage playing with his wood (this is a good thing). Today he is sneezing and coughing (not a good thing). I lay in bed at night listening to him snore, wheeze and whistle. I have gotten to the point that when I am gone I want to call him every few minutes. Our insurance appears to be non existent at the moment and sooooooo who pays for his meds and oxygen.....What if he has to go to the hospital and we have no insurance. The power has been on and off all day...does he have enough tanks if it goes off for hours.
And after 35 years I am still taking kids to school 4 days a week...Couldn't I please have some time off for good behavior????
I know I am rambling...and I am sorry but I have a splitting headache and I drove around town for two hours looking for my granddaughter who decided she is 18 and can do what she wants so she just plain disappeared... I just don't know where else to look. We don't know if she has her meds with her and a ton of people have seen her but no one knows where she is. We don't know really if she is safe or not. We live in a small town surrounded by desert....She thought it was ok to walk home through the desert after dark (they live in the desert on a working farm). I tried to explain to her this was not safe because things lurked in the desert and that doesn't even count the four legged animals. "She is 18 and can do what she wants" I told her that being 18 comes with responsibilities..one of which was to not do anything that would cause herself harm. She knew she could come to me but she chose not to....I am so worried about her.
I just had a phone call someone has seen her around one of the sleazy motels in town...Her Dad is going to go over there and see if he can find her.
I hope no one minds this but I just had to get this off of my chest. I spend a fair amount of my time wanting to cry...I don't but I just feel like I want to. Soo when is enough enough.....I know God will not give me more than He thinks I can handle but I think He has over estimated my abilities.
Thank you Sweet friends for letting me ramble....I do love and appreciate each of you.
Loves 'n hugs

Well of course you are worried about your 18 year old granddaughter. And shame on her for not letting you know what she is up to. Being anywhere that it is dark and lonely is never wise for a female - 18 years old or not - it just is not safe. Kids do think they are invincible - but they are not and I hope you can drill that into her little head.
Please let us know if she comes home safe - we're going to worry if we don't know too.
I so relate to having had enough - I'm so tired of worrying and be sad and tired - it just gets to be too much sometimes. At least tomorrow is another day - and hopefully all will be okay.
Take care,
LJ
My Granddaughter has been found but she is not home...She is however at school and the police say case closed......She is stealing candy to eat. She apparently does not have her meds.... and we have been having strong thunderstorms all night but she is fine and case closed...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
You are a good person, you seem like the rock of the family. But please take care of you, and do some things that can give you some enjoyment.
God bless you and a big hug,
Sandy

My Granddaughter is found and here...Her Grandfather and I have taken her in until she Graduates in December. I hope this was not a large mistake.....I feel like I have more than I can handle right now....But this is better than her living on the streets. The woman's shelter is helping her to get some kind of medical so she can get back on her meds...... right now she seems to be agreeable to just about anything..... We shall just have to see... Right now I feel shell shocked.
Now... Put her little fanny to work! She can help to take some of the load off of you! Time for some of these kids to realize it's not all about them and they need to respect others. I see and hear so much about the 'ME' generation. They really don't know how easy they have had it. Blessings to you!

I send huge love filled hugs and prayers to you, Dennis, and all the family. Try to get some rest.. I know it's hard, but you need it right now. The young ones.. my, oh my.. that magic 18 number can be a nightmare to the ones who love them at that age. Some really have no clue the horrible things that can happen..and legal age, does not protect them.
Love you.. Rach
