I think that depends on a relationship. A lot of mothers here are encouraged to work when their children go to school and pay isn't great so many mothers are forced by finances to work, sometimes before their children are old enough to go to school. I think that if this is the case where both parents work then the father should help out with the kids and in the house but sadly this doesn't seem to be the case always. As I said I think it depends on the relationship involved

I agree with Sharon. Ours is based on individual relationships. When we both worked my husband and I have always shared the responsibilities equally. I am not presently working so I try to do everything around the house including mowing the lawn so he can relax when he comes home. Unfortunately in some families I know the wife works but is also expected to do everything at home. Very unfair and I'm glad mine was easy to train! LOL

I had this problem, at one point I was working longer hours than my ex and I still had to feed the children and him, bath the kids and get them to bed and he would sit and watch t.v. while I did it. I have a son with ADD so looking after him was an added issue that I dealt with on my own. My daughter and her partner have no children at the moment but as they both work full time they split the work at home, sometimes he works longer hours so she does a little more to help him. Hopefully they will keep it this way if they have children in the future.

I was always used to my parents sharing all the responsibilities but my husband is Greek and he doesn't lift a finger but that is okya as I no longer work. However when I did work he was expected to help out and I wasn't shy in asking him either, working wives/mothers really do deserve help.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
