' Eagles In A Storm

Did You Know That An Eagle Knows When A Storm Is

Approaching Long Before it Breaks ?



The Eagle Will Fly To Some High Spot And Wait For

The Winds To Come.

When The Storm Hits, It Sets Its WINGS So That The Wind

Will Pick It Up And Lift it Above The Storm.

While The Storm Rages Below, The Eagle Is Soaring Above it.


The Eagle Does Not Escape The Storm.

It Simply Uses The Storm To Lift it Higher.

It Rises On The Winds That Bring The Storm.



When The Storms Of Life Come Upon Us - And All Of Us Will

Experience Them - We Can Rise Above Them By Setting Our

Minds And Our Belief Toward God.

The Storms Do Not Have To Overcome Us.

We Can Allow God's Power To Lift Us Above Them.



God Enables Us To Ride The Winds Of The Storm That Bring Sickness,

Tragedy, Failure And Disappointment In Our Lives.

We Can Soar Above The Storm.



Remember, it Is Not The Burdens Of Life That Weigh Us Down, It Is How

We Handle Them...

That lends new emphasis to the verse in Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Thanks Barb this last week has been rough. Eagles are my favorite bird. They are just awesome and strong. I need to be more like the Eagles.

This is what we are studying in my women's group. It is so hard to remember when you are in the midst of a bad storm.

Maybe I will post it somewhere so I can see it all the time

and then when the storm comes I will be prepared.

I love Eagles too and have been writing a series of short pieces on them, they are not finished yet. That verse Laraine is my favourite. Thanks Barbara I didn't know that they knew when a storm was coming.

I love that barb. In face I used to meditate with the image of lifting about the choas in my life - in a sort of white energy - allowing me to float about the angst. it really worked. It still does. The more I pray - that I can rise above the anger that is spewed at me from time to time - there I go - and it doesn't seem to hurt anymore.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
