Thank you for being here. I know that you, too, are on a sad journey. But you are my rock. I have been on DS for many years, in groups related to my husband's many problems. Then four months ago, when he passed, it was all moot. I thought, is there anything for me? Yes, I found
you! I pop in every time I open my computer, and you are there. I don't always post, but I draw strength and direction from your discussions. I was so lost, but I saw that you were, too. I felt less alone.
These have been hard months. Besides my terrible loss, the bottom dropped out of my finances, I got very sick, I tore a tendon. And I had a yard sale and sold many of my dear one's things. I am still struggling, but so are you. And you help me put one foot in front of the other. For that
I am very grateful.
I love you and I thank you - (((HUGS))) Jan

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

All the experiences you have had lately are hard to deal with. It seems the older we are, the more loss we experience. That's just the way of life. I always took my health for granted and was very active. Recently both my knees have "given up on me" and it is difficult to get around, consequently I have a difficult time doing just the routines around the house. It's hard to take those blows to what we always had. But please know that we are still here for a reason. We may not be able to see it at all. But we never know who is looking at us and learning or gaining strength from us. My dearest friend was 94 when she died and often asked me why she was still here, and my reply was always, "Because I need you!" and that was true. Keep coming here for support! You will never be "ALL ALONE" if you come here!!! I treasure that thought!!
Hope you doing better. It will get easier..........so they say. I'm still waiting for it to happen. You are where we all are or have been. Its no easy road to travel.
I am thinking of you, I'm here if you want to talk.
