Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
For myself, it's simply too painful to remember her. I don't even want to think about the past, because it just brings pain and regret. Intellectually, I know we had many great times. I know she loved me, but all I can focus on is the ways I took her for granted.
sorry.
you are a good man, and I know you made her happy as she made you.
Now, I am finding it is easier to sing along without losing-it...over time, I have gotten used to the idea that it is the memories that bring her Spirit back to me...
....where she always has been anyway!

Joe, I know that it's one of the hardest time of your life. But I strongly recommend you find someone who understands to talk to. We all want to avoid the pain of losing our love one. Some eat to excess, don't eat at all, drown the pain, run or hibernate, but none of these work in the end. It must be felt and as hard as it sounds, it must be accepted for the truth it holds. Only then can we find the healing we so definitely deserve.
I'm here for you and so are the rest of us. Sharon
Peace, Tim
Peace to you,
