Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Congradulations on the new grandbaby!

Your husband met your grandson before you, before his mother, before the world did -
The only thing missing was physically sharing his birth w/you -
There was a time when missing Bob was absolutely painful. Now, its a request for a sign to validate his presence even though he seems to send them 24/7, I still want a special sign to mark the event -
While a person is raw desperation fogs up everything so much so that many signs are missed and that's okay due to the natural process of grief -
Over time as we strengthen our faith - our belief in the afterlife - we learn to be w/out their physical presence. That's not to say that I don't wish every once in awhile for one of Bob's bear hugs - *wink*
Crying is a natural emotional response to the loss of a loved one, in addition to getting rid of toxins & stress to breathe a sigh of relief. Its the best healing anyone can get for themself - most importantly, its the best thing you can free yourself to do w/out feelings of guilt, shame or remorse -
*Hugs*
Recently some of hisl things and his horses for adoption were still open. All of a sudden everything were lined up and completed one after another as if he helped to have closures on his unfinished business. His beloved horses were adopted without me going to look for help.
I had arranged a dinner earlier to honor him with his family and our family together at our home. I didn't like his mom or brother (selfish People) but something was nagging at that I had to invite them. This day happened to be the day that our daughter went into labor. It felt like he was here for all of us. I think these are all signs he had shown me. Although I am still sad, but there is also a sense of peace that he is alright.
