It seems the states are getting more despearte to collect money. Yesterday, on the newscast, I saw a report about some states starting to ask for payment if you're in an auto accident and require help from the police or fire department. One woman received a bill for one thousand dollars because she had a car accident and needed help.

Today I got a shock. Here I am counting my nickles because I'm by myself have just discovered something that can put me in the hole. I live in Illinois and love shopping online. I never even considered the fact that online stores don't collect sales tax. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Illinois has passed a law requiring sales tax payment going back to 2004. I'm horrifyed. I must have ordered tons of stuff and now to have to make one payment for sales tax is terrible. I ordered for other people too. They'd give me the money, so it was no big deal. So how am I suppose to figure out who I should ask for more money? It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't expect it going all the way back to 2004.

It seems we're paying for every little crumb here in the States. I was charged fifteen cent for a pickle slice at a restaurant recently.
