i have listened to many genres of music and watched many movies... But none address the reality of being a widower.. in love with my late wife while liveing and learning to love another to finish life with.. a anomaly of life where morality allows my heart to have a past that i long for and a present that is the reality i make the best of.. and the challenge to share the past and present with new love as she begins to understand my late but not lost love with appreciation and restrain any envy.. That takes a strong and special women.. this is a phase in life i never could of anticipated.. nor did i ever notice anyone else experience... how blind i was... appreciating the challenge in our hearts and its unique aspect draws us closer... all of us.
The man (John) marries his late wife's best friend, I believe. But it took him years to sort it all out and get to that place. Even in real life, I know of some who have done this successfully, but then I don't know what took place behind the scenes.
As you know, I was married to a widower. It wasn't all bad, but it wasn't all good either. It was better after we got our own home and then made new memories. You will have to allow your new bride to make some changes - at some point.
