I love that song---I find music to be such a soothing experience. Yes, we can definitely choose to be held by the Lord.

The songs that comfort me, and really help me, are the standards that G and I listened to often. We were lucky enough to go see Micheal Buble in concert right before we got married. A gift from my daughter. I'll never forget it, or the way we felt listening to the crooner type music. Now, when i do something, or go somewhere, I think of this song, and it always reminds me of the happiness we shared. Now , when I go somewhere, or do something, old or new I imagine him there, and am "seeing him" through all of it. I'm sure I always will.

I just listened to this again. Did not know it was in the discussion board till just now. I love this song, I want to get her CD with it on. Do you know if it is on a CD and what the name of it is? It is so beautiful! Thank you soooooooooooooo much for sharing this song.

What I needed to hear today. 8 months today since husband passed. God continues to bless by using other people.

Our Lord carries us through each day weather it is stormy or not. HE gives us the hope we need to carry on each day.

the song that gets me through this new journey is by Hillsong titled..You hold me now.. the whole song is beautiful but there are some special lines that continuously remind me of my wife and what it will be like when we are reunited ..

I too have found music so inspirational and soothing at times. Two days before Rob passed he posted "Far Away" by Nickleback on my facebook wall (listen to it on youtube if you can). I think now, he knew something was going to happen. Then on church the Sunday after he passed, they sang "Beautiful One". I had both of these songs at his Memorial. On another note, I thank God everyday for this site, although I have never met any of you, I feel that your the closest friends I have through this... Hugs to everyone.

Donna and I had several favorite songs and singers, The Carpenters and Lobo to mention a couple. The song that really hits home for me though is an older country song by Bobby Goldsboro called "Honey". It really fits what has happened for me more than any song. It is probably out there somewhere that you can listen to it. I have it on my ipod and listen to it all the time. and yes even though I can't sing a lick I do and the dogs just have to live with it when I do. LOL.
