Hi everyone....I’ve asked this question awhile ago but with so many new people here since, I thought I’d ask it again..,
There is something that I've wondered about on occasion so I'm finally going to ask the question. I know some of you by name and some by the name that you created. What I wonder is.....what does your username mean? You don't have to answer if you don't want to but I'm sure a lot of them are quite special in meaning.
I'll go first.....mine is staygolden3.....3 is for our family of 3. It's a favorite number of mine as well.
Golden is a name I've used a lot since we owned a golden retriever that was a joy. It's just a pretty word. I chose the word staygolden because of a favorite poem that I've always loved. It's called....
NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
by a Robert Frost
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
To me it means that everything starts out pure...new. But nothing can stay that way and everything changes. It's the fragility of life....so cherish it while you can.
When I kissed Ira goodbye for the last time...I whispered to him..."stay gold I.....stay gold...."
I'd love for you to share your meaning behind the word with us only if you want to.....
Thanks friends
Darcie

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

The name you created has such beautiful meaning.
I use Jaxmate because that's who I am. I'm forever mated to Jax (aka Kurt). I never vowed 'til death us do part.
So, when i died, i gave his 63 kisses. Crying now with this memory but it's a good cry.
My name says it all because my husband is an angel now. Thanks for doing this. Hugs to everyone Dianna
Keep them coming!!! It’s fun getting to know each other even more in a little bit of a different way other than through our sorrow...sort of. I’m smiling and tearing up as I imagine all the stories being told.
Thanks all!
