I know He has carried me.
Through the shadow of the valley of death.
I know He has carried me.
Through the fear and confusion and anguish.
I know He has carried me.
When friends were not there.
I know He has carried me.
Through a 24 yr relationship and 17 yr marriage.
I know He carried me.
Through parenting 3 teens.
I know He hasn't forgotten me and He will never leave me.
He knows the things I did in desperation and pain.
He knows when I wasn't a good person.
He knows me and my darkest secrets.
And I know that He still carries me and He still loves me.
I know that I am forever grateful to Him.
I know He carries me toward the light,
because I could not find it in this darkness.

Lol! He is always carrying us. We just fight Him sometimes.. Like our kids fight us when they are little and we are trying to get them to go somewhere.
Last night I laid in bed and thought about trade irk and school and concerts this weekend and it dawned on me that I was thinking about Mike, grief, loneliness it any of that. So I smiled and continued thinking about yrdwork, etc

THANK YOU for this post. This is so true...right now I feel as if I am the child fighting my heavenly father. My head knows what is right and true yet my heart hasnt caught up yet. Thanks for the reminder....footprints in the sand...when we see only one set HE is carrying us. God bless.

A good friend sais something similar when she said
At this time in her life she should have be living happily until golden years now but he left her AND because HE knew her everything Good and BAD and she his - It is hard to think of being with another in your life....because of all the things they carried us through.

I was referring to Jesus. I think living with someone and learning their BAD will make it easier if there is another set of arms. I don't worry so much about my BAD. I know how to make it worth his while, if there is another him. :) there was a time that I was consumed with darkness. I acted in desperation. But, He (Jesus) carried me. Amazingly, I'm sound, calm, peaceful and I'm ok that my husband died. And I'm ready to take on each day. It wasn't easy, pretty or anything I'd wish on my worst enemy, but it's possible. And I'm alive and here to tell about it.
