As I have been cleaning up / cleaning out my house, i have come across things that i do not know what to do with..Usually i can set them aside to "deal with later" ; I just came across the boxed/bagged up wedding dress my wife wore when we were married.

I do not know the etiquette around what to do with this or if there even is an etiquette for this..I don't know what she ever wanted to do with it..we were never having any kids and she already had 2 boys..

any advice on what to do with this? I would think donating it might be an option but i have no idea where..

yet another fun thing to deal with

Did you ask her boys if they like to have it for their bride to be - this is just an assumption if her sons aren't married yet? Or if you have space in your house, just leave it where it is.

I can't leave it where it is. I'm clearing out my house, prepping too move.

Without going into a lot of detail around why, suffice to say her boys are not an option.

Did you check out BandiBlue's web link? I think this is a wonderful idea and a great cause that your wife would be proud to have her wedding dress donated to. I know I would.

I had my wife's wedding dress made into pillows and gave them to our children for keepsakes.

The Nicu is a great option. I have also seen others give a dress to a church group for making into a quilt for a fundraiser or something to donate to a local family for Hospice uses. Think of what may have been important to you or your wife and donate it in her honor or to promote something she would be proud of. Good luck
