and week to come..
I broke down looking at the Giant Tiger ad this week... Ken loved shopping there for his clothes each summer.. He would buy new polo shirts for work and last year his work allowed them to wear shorts that went to the knee. The sales paper this week for Father's Day was full of these and I just lost it.. Thought Ken you would have loved this..
Today was our 1St. Granddaughters Graduation Ceremony at College she is now a Graduate Licensed Esthetician...I'm so very proud of her she did this with two small children was was a new baby last year.. and got a 4.984 point grade average.. Ken would have been so happy to have been there physically today to see her walk across that stage in her cap and gown and receive her diploma..He would have had such a big smile on his face where I had tears of happiness, pride and sorrow all at the same time. They Pipped the Grads in. The lead Piper was the one from Ken's memorial.. made it even more personal for us.. We took pictures of her in her gown with her diploma me alone beside her I can't wait to see them.. Then her parents and her holding her two boys then her and her husband.. Bitter sweet..
It was also her oldest son our First Great-grandson's 3rd Birthday today..He was so good at the ceremony as was her youngest who is only 14 months..
Today is also 13 weeks since Ken passed away.. Tomorrow Sunday the 12th is by the calendar 3 months.. I don't know it seems to be going by so fast yet I feel just like I did the day he left us all so peacefully..
The 14th is his 62nd birthday and his first not here ..
then we have Father's Day coming so many first in just two weeks..so so hard I feel the tears have been non stop and I'm not sleeping..2 or 3 hours a night is all.. tonight I feel so drained..
Today the 11th also would have been my Dad's 91st birthday.. wow..
I thought I heard Ken in his room the other night even the dogs sat up with Molly growling.. It sounded like the head of his bed going up and down twice.. then the vibrator coming on he has a craftmatic bed.. He used to hit the wall just to annoy me late at night..it sounded lit he hit it with his arm.. I got up then with the dogs on my heels and took the flashlight and opened the door to his room and looked at his bed nothing had moved.. My son found the monitor on his computer on last week and no one had been in that room for about 3 weeks and no one has used his computer in over two months.. I think he is coming to visit me.. I looked at his picture over my bed and told him to knock it off him smiling down at me and haven't heard a noise since..
Tonight I told him all about today and that smile on his face was like he was really listening to me..
God I feel so alone now everyone has left.
We came back here to celebrate Katelyn's graduation and Keagan's birthday with Pizza and cake..
Oh some good news.. My son and his GF are expecting their first baby.. Ken would have been so happy.. My son wants a boy so bad to name after his day and carry on the family names Ken and our last name as our son is the last of the line of the family..sorry to ramble on..

Today was one month since my husband's death. I had a REALLY bad night last night and a ruff morning. I could not stop crying. It looked like I aged 10 years in one night. When I went to take my shower, it smelled like wet cigaretts. My husband would actually smoke int the shower. I do not smoke, no one smokes in my house now that my husband is gone. There was also a hair band that my husband left in the shower the night he died. I left it hanging in the shower. I have cleaned the shower since his death. I have even painted the bathroom. I have looked at that hair band every time I have taken a shower. Today there was one of his hairs on the band. It was not there before. After those two things, I have felt better and not cried the rest of the day. It might be a coincidence, but I don't think so. I think it was his way of saying he is still with me.
I hope your week goes by with happy thoughts as often as you can have them.
Wow...looks like I'm not the only one who's *imagined* this....
We were so proud of him. It will be a bitter sweet day. All special occasions from now on will be bitter sweet. He should be there!
God Bless you in this journey
