Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I think there is a way to go ahead with the group. I would keep it low-key -- make it more or less a meet-up type group. Get together for coffee or a pint. The organizational part of it I would keep simple. You will need to decide how often - maybe every other week? Where and when to meet - restaurant on a Friday or Saturday maybe? And you might want to add a topic to throw out for conversation. That could be very loose - we're NOT talking making up charts or handout pamphlets or any of that. Just say, "This week I have been thinking a lot about -- X topic (for example: shopping alone). I am finding that hard - what about you?" And let it flow from there.
You could do it through meetup.com and I think there are how-tos on the site to do that.
So my vote is a YES but with conditions. You are not in a position to take on too much responsibility and detail tracking at this point, but if you set it up simply, I think it's a great idea. If it falls flat, you won't have lost anything except some time, right? If it works, that would be great.

Once it has started, have people take turns organizing the sessions.
That way you do not have to take all the responsibility. This group could help you and many more people in your area. Try it if you find that it takes up to much time then you can leave the group.
I am sure it will be beneficial to you and others. Tell us if you do.
Big hug to you.
Even if it dosn't work out I'm going to try
