I had an endoscopy (upper GI) 10 days ago. They said they'd have the results in 7 to 10 days. It was hard to wait, but by the 7th day I was really wanting to hear the news, good or bad.
The doctor's office called and set up a follow-up appointment for 3 weeks from now. I asked what the results of my biopsy were. She said she only makes appointments but she would give my message to the nurse. I told her that I could receive whatever news it was, good or bad, over the phone. The nurse did not call. That was 2 days ago.
I wonder why they make people wait so very long to get the results of things like biopsies. They don't need to tell all the details over the phone, but a simple, "It looks good." or "The doctor has some concerns about the results." Something that would give a person some preparation knowledge before they go in and the doctor tells them in his office. I would rather hear bad news in my home than in the doctor's office.
By the time I get in to see the doctor, it will have been about 4 weeks since the test. That's just not a very good response time in my opinion. Grrrrr.

So just like you, I'm playing "the waiting game". But, we have to keep the faith and know that it's in God's hands. All the worrying in the world doesn't help us. You're in my prayers for a good report.

Right with ya on the GRRRR. I hated that!!! And would call and call and call until we got them! I couldn't take it!
