A friend here wrote to me that there will be many valleys and hills to pass and it made me think of this....
In the days that past since you took your last breath...time stood still.
You walked through the valley of death and feel no more pain....but I will.
It is at the bottom of that valley I stand and cry out your name.
It is cold there and dark....since you left me, nothing has been the same.
So I return alone from the valley, painfully up the hill where I can see the sun.
There at the top when I turn and look past the valley...I think I see you.
It is here on the hill that I remember the warmth and joy of a love that was true.
Here on that hill I can hold myself together and I know I need to walk back to life.
But I am drawn with longing to the edge of that dark valley...your lonely wife....
Till the day comes when it is my turn to walk through that valley...I will climb this hill.
I will stand at the top and keep going...I hope you know...I love you...I always will.

I love what you wrote here as you paint vivid pictures with words.
Irony about the sunflowers you write here...my daughters surprised me with a visit to Van Gogh Alive gallery and I am sitting on a train with the three of them and I said...I am looking forward to seeing his Starry night and Sunflowers work. Checked on here while on the train to read your beautiful piece here painting pictures in my mind.

I'll tell you something that most members here should already know of me, by now, at least, because I've always given the glory to God for my thoughts and words while visiting at this site. I'm what some call "channeled." I really have a different perspective on what it is though. I don't really consider myself a medium either. Just spiritual :-) It makes me nervous to think of myself as "channeled" or "medium." These abilities are so unfamiliar to me.
I am curious about the picture of the rose and scorpion in your avi. Something there that's trying to reach out to me for meaning. I am going to leave you a link to a song that comes to my mind right now.

I loved the song you sent!!! Thank you! I sat on the train coming back from the art gallery and listened to it while the train rocked me gently soothing me and bringing me comfort.
I found the image of the scorpion and the rose and it resonated with me. My husband called me Wild Rose....my star sign is Scorpio. Together I think it describes me...he said I was beautiful, wild and yet you needed to be careful to handle me as I have thorns! Lol Scorpion star signs are notorious for being passionate, mysterious and emotional.
Looking forward to hearing more about your channelling and totally hear you when you talk about signs....I do see them and feel them.

I am thinking of painting again and rekindling poetry. I have written and have not had the time of late to continue....much of what I used to write was based on love and life....I worry that it will be a bit dark now.
Painting and clay work are my favourite....might be a productive avenue to let myself go for a bit.

I'm so happy that that train with the song rocked you to sleep - no doubt you need the rest and sleep. What I found interesting is the lyrics of the song. I reposted a new link with the words included. And the first link had a Batman theme going on there, which was sweet if you enjoy superheroes!
I figured that your husband has something to do with "WildRose." And exploring the signs (birth) is exciting. I don't spend much time visiting with astrology though. I did when I was a teenager. What sign was your husband?
WildRose, no, no, no, please no, I'm not channeling. I only used the term because it is more familiar than what my own perspective is. I am possibly a kindred spirit. However, I don't really care for the idea of channeling. God speaks, I type out His words, yet I'm still learning just what this spiritual ability means, and I am often fascinated with what I share with people. I reread lots of time! And I'm very impressed by God's insights!
And I figure that most of what is published at this support network is good support for the onlookers, those peeps not quite ready to join a message board or social group. No, though, I'm not here to part the Red Sea, lol! I just have the courage to give the glory to God of my words. And it is my honor to profess my faith in God.

Mine is a crafty sign, WildRose. And I don't really recall all the signs as perfectly as I once did. Um, Gemini is the twin sign. Your husband still has all those wonderful things you enjoyed in him. Surely, the two of you are forever a perfect match!
I will not call all the words here, but Maya Angelou has a quote which might interest you: "By love...that condition in the human heart so profound it encourages us to develop courage and build bridges, and then trust those bridges and cross the bridges..."
We each have one practice in this group, and that is to take all the time we need to get ready, whatever that may be to you. Just delve here and there; great idea! The word respect means so much at this site. And I respect that you take all the time you need to get comfortable here. I do so enjoy you already. You are an amazing person!
