My husband took care of his parents financial affairs since they entered nursing home 5+ yrs ago. Roger was raised by Dad & step Mom
(Bro raised by MOM). After he died Russ told me some monies from his stepMoms financial affairs did not go into her safe (they were hiding monies somewhat due to nursing home) he wondered where Roger put them. (Suddenly bro is interested in all of it & now taken over ) He had will changed to just him
I seriously doubt him - there are no extra $$ going into any accts we had (I checked for hrs back 3 yrs). BRO kept emailing me wondering if he put them in coffee cans & buried them. This was going on same time stepsons were trying to come & take everything. MY lawyer told me what ever is in any accounts in Rogers name was mine period. I added up financials that I figured we would have & its close to amount there.
NO paper trails of monies from his step moms affairs shows up - no positive reference of monies this bro was talking about.
Finally at one time i just told all to leave me alone - HIM along with sons were bugging me the first 4-6 months of my husbands death I had to deal with this.
NOW I hear from family member bro does not know whether to believe me, and further told them I was not nice to one of Rogers old friends discouraging him from coming to his memorial service. Which I never did, after the first intial phone calls (friend was on travel out of cell coverage) I emailed information to him along w/many others, never talked to friend again. SO I just get upset thinking they are doing this kind of talk against me. The Aunt told me she stuck up for me - said no way DIane would not do that - she wanted everyone there which is ME. BRO said he did not know what to believe anymore.
I honestly have no idea - was not my parents - no one confident in me about any of what was going on - I had and still have no idea what Rog was doing with their financial affairs. I now believe they are telling his MOM BS about me regarding it too. SHE is close to dying in nursing home.
I know i should shrug this off and not let it bother me....BUT I feel like they think I stoled his moms money. 1) I know Roger did not take any $$ of anyone, he was straight laced as they come, 2) If he did not deposit $$ in safe cuz there was none but I believe he did -
Gosh after all this time -
OK I vented & now I need to breathe & ignore their BS but gosh its hard...
God crunch my upset and fears, allow this to go away, let me breathe freedom today from unnecessary gossips..

You should definitely not allow him to harrass you in this way, and if necessary take legal action from him doing so.
You are completely justified in being upset, this guy is bully, and not a nice person at all.
Please try to keep it cool, and pray for his ignorance and mean will.
but, if need be, file an injunction, or whatever is needed to have him leave you alone.
You do not have to validate yourself to us, just vent here.
