Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

My beautiful wife passed away in my arms on October 27th 2017. She was only 50 years old and had multiple myeloma for eight and a half years. She stayed positive until the very end and always lived life with an attitude of gratitude for every moment of every day. She was always so good at keeping me positive and in the moment. We were best friends for a couple of years and were married for 14 years. I just feel sad and broken hearted. I am going to counseling and have gone to a couple of support groups. All that really is bringing peace to me is thinking of our wonderful memories and feeling her presence around me. I vowed to continue living my life and fortunately I work with a lot of supportive co-workers who have been with me through Jennifer's 8 and 1/2 year Journey with cancer. She always said that she would never give up and she did not give up. Her body just could not keep going on after all the chemotherapy and treatments over the years and years :-(she was so positive that she actually had plane tickets for us to fly to Los Angeles on the Sunday after she died to go to the City of Hope and hopefully get into a trial that could save her life.
