Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I'm new on this journey of loss myself and don't have much to offer in the way of advise but I can tell you that it helps to read the stories of others here that have travelled this road and understand.
Just reading the different stages people have been through and being able to relate is a comfort and helps you know you are not alone.
It also helps to be able to comfort or encourage others as well as we all share this journey.
I hope you find comfort and peace in knowing there are others who understand and relate to your pain and that wish you all the strength and prayers you need to make it through....stay safe....Jackie
I understand your pain, my husband passed away July 28, 2016. He was suffering from Cardiomyopathy, (bad heart), but know one knew it. I just wanted to live a normal life, and he did until his last day. He died at home in bed. My husband took care of me. He cooked, did laundry, cleaned, took me anywhere I wanted to go. I used to call him my house husband, and he would just laugh. I miss him very much. I can tell you that it does get a little better, but that pain will never leave your heart for your husband, you just learn to focus on other things in your life like your kids. I never knew that a person could feel so lost with no sense of directions, but that's how I feel now.
Try to think about all the good times you had together, and the moments you shared, and eventually you will smile instead of crying. My husband and I were on married for 19 months, we go married on New Year's Eve.
I'm here for you if you need to talk.
Take care Samantha
