So lonely. Been longing for her touch. I was 30 when we met she was 25. She just turned 40 I had a surprise party for her in May which I actually kept secret but it was killing me. She was so surprised and so happy. It may seem I'm rambling and I apologize but I am hurting and need to let it out.

Garry, I know it doesn't help you now, but we have all been through what you are feeling and it's hard. They become part of who we are and I felt my life died with him. In a way, it did. But the good news is we can, after grieving, tuck the pain in our heart and see the sun once again. Hugs, Sharon

Garry like you I keep feeling like I am hitting a wall. I think I take two steps forward an feel proud and it takes nothing to realize I am taking ten steps backwardsTomorrow is nine months for me and I am coming unraveled. Why is it still so hardI miss my husband immensely. I don't know where he went and I am still searching for him in my heartI feel your pain.

I'm sorry for your loss Garry. What a lovely memory, your thoughtfulness and love made for such a special surprise. I could never keep my mouth shut I'm afraid.
I wish you had more time together and I understand the loneliness, pain and longing.

Garry, we are all with you in your grief. I married late in life and my mother never thought I would ever marry. I was a confirmed bachelor until I saw Amy, it was truly love at first sight. She was 28 and I was 36 she was not supposed to go first. We spent 20 blissful years together.
Like you it feels like it took a life time to find her and now she is gone it seems in a blink of an eye.
She raised the bar so high I may never find someone in my life again.

Pete, you just hit home with your last sentence. I couldn't put my finger on what I am frustrated about my future is but you just cleared it up for meLike you, my husband raised the bar in his love, respect, kindness, admiration, etc. for me that I can't imagine getting all those qualities again in my life and I know I can't settle for less...
