Six years ago tomorrow My husband was in Colorado visiting his step mother whom he grew up with in a nursing home where several were gathered for her birthday.

His Aunt from Spokane WA we lived in Yakima Wa area went with him.  As he and she were driving along he had a massive heart attack and never came home

I found this site several months later as I live in a mountainous rural area where support is limited and after a few months I needed to move on according to friends and neighbors.

This site saved me in many ways.  Just listening what others had gone through like I was I felt I could survive through all of it NOT ALONE even though I am still alone.

I think I added a lot in comfort, insight, and thought to others I at least hope.  The way the site was set up was easy to manuever, and gave a lot of warmth.  IF you are new here you can not relate to that.  I wish I could explain but CL Martha worked her heart out to get things formatted a little more as you could see many many many numerous topics all at once.  Not just a few and could click where your heart felt it needed to go at that time.  And there are so many phases of feelings as time goes on and on, set backs, forwards, accomplishments, still sad things throughg this thing called GRIEF.

My MOM is going through alot so I hope those who know me will say a pray.  89 yrs.  3rd back surgery for cancer altho' cancer is gone, radiation deteriorated L5, and she fractured L2  SHE is in alot of pain and can not see to get much relief.  In Seattle Harborview.  TOMORROW we are going to drive to the mts where his ashes are spread, an area he was in charge of during his lilfe as a Wildlife Biologist in the Chinook Pass mountains.  Take care
