I had an appointment at the hospital where I am in a study. My husband and I both went for years and I moved on to another hospital. After my appointment, I sat on a bench in the lobby, the same bench we sat on after his many appointments. I became overwhelmed as I watch the people coming in, especially couples about our age. I had not been back since he passed, (he passed away at home). I went to the caf and was putting my food in a bag at a table where this lady was sitting. I started sharing with her that my husband had passed away and she said "the Lord had sent me there, because she had been diagnosed with stage IV Lung Cancer that was inoperable. She had chemo and radiation and after, it started to shrink. Her latest diagnosis shows no cancer at all. My husband passed away July 27th after a five month fight with Lung Cancer. We held hands and I told her the Lord still has work for her to do. She was reluctant to share because of my husband. But I told her to share her blessing with others. It may seem strange to some, but she actually lifted my spirits, because she has been given a second chance. Just sharing.
