I LOVE that book! Thank you so much for posting this I have chills I love love love it! I have had two of those books given to me and I gave one to a neighbor who is fighting cancer, she has moved in with her sister and her brother in law two houses down from me. I read my Jesus Calling book every night it has spoken to me, some of the days I read over and over and I can get something different out of it each time. Whenever I read a page in that book, I look around wishing I had someone I could share it with as I have an overwhelming desire to say, "Come here and read this, isn't it beautiful?" Of course that someone will always be my Frankie as I shared everything with him, most importantly and above all else, we shared a love for Jesus. Oh the comfort in knowing where my darling is. He was saved just 9 months prior to his cancer diagnosis. I am so blessed to have witnessed such bravery, such courage, such amazing faith my husband displayed and all so genuinely. He was a new Christian, I have been a Christian, loved Jesus all my life, I was certain I would be able to show him all these lovely things in the Bible, just feeling proud and a bit self righteous when he got saved thinking "wow I'm going to teach him all the things I know". Guess what? I was the student, Frankie was the teacher. I found out quickly I knew nothing, I was humbled and how blessed that my humility came from a learning experience with my own husband.

Thanks for sharing. needed that reminder today. For some reason wallowing in feelings of aloneness this morning. My husband passed four months ago, no family nearby, but blessed with friends who reach out. I am getting stuck in thinking back to last summer when my husband was just starting his battle with stage iv cancer. The disbelief of how it all came upon him with a blink of an eye. My heart is broke.

I am so glad that I am not alone being inspired through Jesus Calling. When my husband reached the point where he would not read or talk, we would lay in bed and he would fold his hands. I would read to him each morning from her devotional and the scriptures. I had put an insert of one of the devotionals in the program and they read It at his home going.

Home going. I love that you used those words Praised. A wonderful reminder that this isn't our home, not for believers in Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior.
So....we just have to be here and be jealous.....until we meet them again

Thank you for posting this. I find myself wondering how deep this pit goes sometimes. It's good to be reminded He has His eye on me.
