Amen to that! It is true, this is the most difficult part of my life. I believe I've only been able to survive by relying on GOD. A friend called me the other day after her sister had open heart surgery. She told me she didn't understand how I faced that all alone across the country for a month with my husband and then after he died how she admired my strength and dignity. I said I could not take the credit. I know that HE has gotten me through. I do miss my husband still so very much at almost 3 years but yes, in many ways the pain does ease and you are able to cope better. Wishing you all peace, patience and strength.

A year and a half for me. If anything, I wonder if I don't feel worse now in some ways. Now we have TIRED tacked on, even though our faith is somewhat restored. There's always a huge to-do list. Today I am going to attempt to complete the design of the stone.

Through God's grace he has given me strength and the days are a little more tolerable 16 months later. When I first came here I thought the pain was never going to cease. After reading post from ones who have been on the journey a lot longer they also gave me HOPE. Hugs to all.

I'm so glad that your faith in God has been restored. Grief has to be one of the hardest things, if not THE most difficult thing to go through.
It's life-changing on so many levels. And it hits at the weirdest, most unexpected times. Keep holding on to God. He is near to the brokenhearted and you'll be able to tell people that through all your pain, He was there for you, as you experienced it for yourself.
