Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Hugs,
Val
If not for this site and all here who share their feelings, I don't know what I would do. The members who are where we are help me know I'm not going crazy, and the ones further on help me know I will be better someday.
It's just so hard right now.

I'm at 2 1/2 years and the tears don't come as easily but they do come. The reality of being alone and the hellish quiet is dealt with a swift blow of The Housewives on TV.
There are still "triggers" that will start me to well-up but it doesn't last as long as it used to and I can talk myself out of it pretty quickly.
I'm not seeing Morey so much as I used to, at every bus stop or in line at the bank or in an aisle at the market. I used to swear that he was there, that I saw him. I don't see him like I used to.
He's not in pain anymore and here I am suffering through the loss of him!
Michele, you were always "there" when I needed you and I thank you for that.
Love,
Roz
I want to leave it Behind, and that just isn't happening. not 2 or 3 or ? years from now.
Last night, a friend via phone call tried to convince me of my potential. I told her she was completely deluded. Lol
So hard.
I am not an endurance athlete.
I feel exactly like Michelle posted.
Truth Bomb.
I just wish i could go a week without an anxiety attack or pain inside. I wish I had a magic wand that could help us all.
