I'm so sorry, shewearsblack, thought was a catchy usernames when I first saw it, but rather not see it on here, so sorry. I am so sorry you have to struggle on your own with cars and all, like I do now. Men are very handy with cars and house repairs and all, jack of all trades, some of them, like my boyfriend was. My car that I had with him was a 1993 Honda Civic, which was about 17 years old and everything was going on it, but was still running good. But of course when I had to get it inspected by myself, instead of him taking it for me to his mechanic, which I usually paid for though, I had to take it myself there. And I was crying and all because it was shortly after he passed away and the mechanic and him knew each other for a long time. And of course he said my car won't pass cause too much rust underneath. Since he passed, everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I don't know why that is or just timing or what the hell. So, I had to look for another car and luckily my brother helping me. Got another Honda with money I luckily had saved!! I got a good car, I hope!! for a reasonable price. Thank you for reminding me, S.W.B. to check my oil and all. And I have to do it myself I guess, but don't know how to check other stuff, like brake fluid and all. Sometimes my boyfriend would work on it himself too, only took it when needed inspection mostly. And I will have to move eventually because I refuse to pay to fix parents house repairs when my two siblings never paid anything, and taxes and insurance. I can't help but be angry with my Schweety for putting me in these situations I am in now because of his passing!! I was too reliant on him and can't speak up good, like he could. Don't know if I am going to make it. I never want to get out of bed in the morning. I would stay there all day if I could. This way I am not depressed about him most of the day. Sleeping is a great way to escape reality now!! Oh well, hope all works out for you S.W.B., sorry we have to all go through this. I am still reading that book, Good Grief and it just has me puzzled. Like Sylvia Brownes book, The Other Side, and a couple others, this book too says that we choose what we want to go through in this life!! I would have NEVER chose to go through the painful stuff I went through, ESPECIALLY this!!!!!!¡!?!!!!!! And that they are up there now taking classes and all about how to perfect their soul and all. And that they are doing whatever they liked to do here, cooking, playing tennis or whatever they liked. And they are always with us, especially when we do stuff that we both enjoyed together, crazy. Because it is still so hard to wrap my mind around him being somewhere and what he is doing up there, 3 feet up, with the most vibrant colors you have ever seen, like in the movie, The Shack, that my Aunt had me watch with her, after my boyfriend just passed. I know I am bringing up a lot spiritual stuff, hope nobody minds. I just want to ease everyone's minds also that our loved ones our still with us and happy and in peace!! Blessings to you and all!!!

Oil changes were Jim's job. We bought a new car in 2013 and took it in for routine maintenance. Sure I have the sticker that says when the next time is...
Then a day before I was supposed to drive out of town my car starts flashing warning at me that it is crucial 100% of oil used. Well in a panic I tried to get my car in for an appointment that day at our dealer service to no avail. So I went to the dealership next door because they have a one hour service. When they asked me what kind of oil I wanted I had a full on melt down. They were gracious enough when I explained a little of the situation, they went next door to my regular place and got the oil there. Just another first of many things I will have to do that I am not aware of.
Hope the rain stops soon. Just a ((((hug))))) to let you know I am proud of your accomplishments as well as mine. Because I am sure if we could hear our husbands they would be telling us how proud they are of us. Take care Kim

SS, I would change my username if I knew how or it was permitted. I guess i chose it because of losing two husbands simultaneously within a 6 year period. Now, trying to move forward, move on, or whatever term fits, it would be nice to drop the veil (and the username), so to speak. I wish I had bought a Honda instead of a Buick, but I had to get something quick so I could put my SUV in the shop and not be on foot.. For me, it is time for more than an oil change. I may have to change my address book, my phone number, and my location.
