Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I'm so sorry that you are feeling so badly. I have no words of wisdom for you here, I'm almost to the three month mark not quite but just wanted you to know that I hear you and I feel your pain. We just have to keep believing everyone here that in time it will ease. I hope your day gets better. Sending you love and hugs !!!
I am right there with you. It was 3 months for me on the 18th, and it feels like it happened yesterday. You are doing all the right things, and I hope that the pain will start to fade soon. I can say there have been time when I actually smiled about a memory or two. Hang in there we are all with you....Paula
I know just how your feeling. 3 months is still so new, it will get easier but I don't know when.
Life is very empty for me also, and I've done all the things we should do. I think time is the only answer.
Hugs,
JoAnn
I too am at 3 months on the 9th Like you, my husband died suddenly at the age of 42, we had 20 years together. The feelings you descirbe are the feelings that I think each of us are going thru. The only thing that gets me thru is knowing that I will see him again in heaven someday, although waiting for that day is not fun. Just know that you are not alone. Everyone in this group is sending you love & hugs.

By reading posts on this board I knew I had to stop thinking so far ahead. I could not think of the future because he would not be there. I had to start taking 1 step at a time. 1 hour at a time. 1 Day at a time. That is the only way I made it on through the paralizing grief. I have to say at this time I am doing much better. At about 6 months I begin to be thankful that I had him in my life. How blessed I was to have him as my husband and share our life together. I began to be happy when I thought of him. I could smile. It's getting better all the time.
I have a long way to go but, I still do not think to far ahead. I just take it day by day.
I wish you all better days ahead. Take your time and take small steps. Come on here and share you feelings and thoughts.
We have all been there and understand what you are going through.
Take care, Lucy
