This story has been all over my Facebook this afternoon and it really made me angry.

As if this poor man doesn't have enough to deal with. What is it terms and conditions nowadays? Surely in tragic cases like this they can show some compassion. Its story's like this that make me lose all hope in the humanity of people. I couldn't help myself and I emailed the disgusting excuse of a hotel in question to vent my disgust. I hope the power of the Internet can get this man back the money he deserves rather than it lining the pocket of some heartless hotel manager

How much do you think the hotel will lose because of this story? Probably a whole lot more than if they had just given the poor man his money back! Stupid move on the part of the hotel manager, really stupid move!

I hope they do lose a hell of a lot more than that after putting the poor man through this. No doubt there will be a story in a few days time that they've changed their mind and refunded him the money due to all the bad press as its now in a lot of the UK newspapers but the damage is already done. It really is just plain wrong, clearly nobody there realises what its like to lose someone you love

It is a crappy story, but I would have changed it from a golden anniversary to a celebration of life. I would been pretty relaxed about the noise and celebration and made sure it was one big event for my spouse. It might have made them earn their money to clean and prepare the room for the next event., but such an honor for my husband.
