I'll do my best, but I'm such an alien that aliens are alien to me.
Julie
I really identify with those feelings...I feel very removed from this world...I see it in a whole new perspective and I think that I was 'supposed' too. It has given me more strength and conviction, but I don't WANT to be here either, but realize that I am for some reasons...I am just trying to go with the flow now and not ever be distracted by worldly things again...do the right things Spiritually and be more alert to what is going on around me and why it might be happening....oh, and lots of praying and talking to my Darling...and God...(sometimes I get the two of them mixed up...! Isn't that funny...it happened a lot in the beginning....I am glad the 'tunnel' feeling of tears has left...that was absolutely AWFUL...and I find myself saying unconsciously..."I just want to go home" and you know what, He was 'my home' so....:)
Blessings to you xoxo
I think that is why we feel so disoriented in the early months as an important part of us is somewhere else trying to stay with our beloved.
I feel like an alien here too! Nothing is the same as it was.
I thought I was the only one! Seems that nothing we do is really all that unique or special! I talk to Don and God AND sometimes the names get confused and I have to apologize and correct myself.
But thankful God is BIG and understands what I mean even when I say it wrong.
Hugs,
Vicki
I can't get over this feeling that I am not really here - or at least there is a part of me that's not and will never be.
Julie
It is a major accomplish, without question, that you completed the Vehicle Title Transferring today at the Court House. I understand feeling disinterested in this world. After all, my beloved wife was my whole world, and my sole reason for conquering giants in the world to provide for she and I.
When my beloved wife passed on my/our whole world ended. Therefore I now feel less attached to succeeding in the world, like I use to when my beloved wife was by my side. I could persevere and succeed in social, personal and career achievements, but the reason to do so has so drastically changed that my motivation has been adversely affected to the degree that choose differently since she is not longer by my side in life.
I am very aware of my beloved wife since she has passed on. Our relationship has changed from temporal to eternal. When I focus on this material world is when I begin to miss her and feel alienated from one another. However, when I am more Heavenly minded is when I am fully aware of her, and in a way that is consoling to my heart and soul.
Today I was quietly contemplating in prayer, and then without an explanation I became aware of my beloved wifes voice. She was explaining to me about her plants in need of care and attention. Sure enough the plants were in need of care. I had totally forgotten to care for them. This happened as though she had asked me to move her plants outdoors and tend to them. Just like she would do when she was with me prior to her passing on.
Oddly enough, I immediately completed this chore as though she was standing right next to me. I felt encouraging presence and was led to quickly accomplish this chore without any sadness whatsoever. This is how I would always assist my beloved wife when she was tending to her plants, that she dearly cherished.
I understand what you mean when you speak of feeling like an alien. Likened to a citizen of a country other than the one he or she is currently in. For myself I am a citizen of HEAVEN, and just passing through. I am on my way HOME. I hope my journeying ends soon on this planet. I am eager to join with my beloved wife and Our Creator, God forever and an eternity.
Thank you for sharing this posting here. I do understand what you are speaking about, very much so, friend!

It's not wrong to communicate with Charlie at all!!1 At least in my thinking it isn't!!
Charlie, if stories hold true and I am hoping they do!, is with GOD now, and one of his angels. How can it be wrong to talk to your very own personal angel?
I have been communicating with Greg before he passed, and well after he he did. STILL do! i write to him, i talk to him, I share things in my heart with him....and i feel better after I do! i think that's the term of a soulmate. With you in this world, and there for you into the next. The connection to them never dies. their body does. i hope that helps and you don't feel bad about ever talking or praying to him! When you do, GOD hears you through him too!
The pain for you now is so so so intense and of course you want to be with him,! My heart just hurts for you! I was exactly where you are now, and understand it!
Being an alien? We ALL feel that way! I felt like a toddler all over again in a strange world you have to figure out how to navigate all over again with only one leg hopping around and falling more than you are upright! Please give yourself time, and be GOOD to YOU now. that's what he'd want for you. He's counting on you to keep his legacy alive for all those who don't know what a wonderful person walked this earth. YOU are that link to HIM now. Tell US about him! what a wonderful person he was to you, and how lucky will WE be to know this man that loved so completley, as well as the many lives he touched/
Talk talk talk about him any time and anyway you can, and little by very little you will learn to walk again, with him right inside of your heart. when you do, and you will, he will say to himself...WHAT A WOMAN I got there!
HUGS and hoping that each day gets just a bit more peace in it for you.... diane

I know how you feel. I ended up trading in Bill's truck and my care for a completely new vehicle. It broke my heart but it made good sense. Not only did I feel like an alien, but I felt like I was betraying him somehow.
You're not alone. And neither are you, Sal. I'm sure they're working on your cute, vegetarian, asexual alien right now. Just hang in there . . .
Julie
Aliens BY gosh I think you have got it.
With being told to man up to a man friend.
Being told its time to get over it and have some fun by my gal friend,
And all those many posts about what good meaning friends and family tell us....we are aliens.
And Sal since you are already an alien - you have to stay here with us all.
Have a good day aliens
I, too, fully identify with your feelings. Next Saturday it will be four years since my Don went home to the Lord, and I have felt that part of me is with him every since. At first this feeling caused me a lot of disorientation and distraction, but I have learned to not only live with it, but to be thankful for it.
Bear,
You did an excellent job of expressing my thoughts and feelings! Except, of course, mine are about my Don, not your wife. :-) Hopefully Don and I can meet you and your wife when we all are together in our Eternal Home.
said0117,
Thanks for your humor.... it is nice to smile!
Blessings to all...
Don's wife
Live Long and Prosper, Sal.
It says, "Entreat, implore, often used as a function word in introducing a question, request,or plea. To make a request in a humble manner. To address God or a god with adoration, confession, supplication,or thanksgiving."
It seems, therefore, to be perfectly natural to address your loved one in a prayerful fashion, reserving worship, however, for the one true God.
