After a busy and fun weekend I had a bad day today. No motivation and I cried a lot. Didn't even get out of my pajamas until almost 4 o'clock.
Maybe it's the idea of facing a brand new year without my husband? Or just more holiday sadness ?
I turned to my Facebook friends, and I posted .....
"Needless to say 2014 has been heartbreaking for me. Watching the love of my life be hospitalized for three months, watching him decline, and losing all hope that he would recover, has been unbearable. Losing my husband of 34 years has brought me more tears and more grief than I ever thought possible. My heart has been shattered. I've been told that grief is the price we pay for love, and I now know that to be true.
Years ago I lost my mom, then my dad, then my best friend from high school, along with aunts, uncles, in-laws and others that I loved. But nothing, absolutely nothing, prepares you for losing your spouse.
He loved me, he accepted me, he supported me, he was always there at the end of the day, he forgave me, he comforted me, he was my soul mate, my better half. Before he passed away I told him that wherever he went my heart was going with him.
I will always love you, Norb, and I will always miss you"
I added one of my favorite pictures of him standing at the edge of the Caribbean in Mexico.
I had over 60 responses full of love and comfort, and I felt better. A kind word and a cyber hug really helps.
I get by with a little help from my friends.

My friends and family have been so supportive- I am blessed in that regard even though I still feel so alone at times. There is no easy way through this...hugs to you!

Best and worst words ever to hear! Hurts like hell but we will overcome and be nicer, kinder and better people for it. Hard to see now! Dewey
cried alot in these last 2 days, but i'm not certain i would have survived since November 11 without all of the support from friends and family. i'm visiting my parents now, and am not looking forward to going back to my state/house in 4 days and being alone..
My we one day find meaning in this journey
