Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Being here has been my lifeline on earth. Having people who truly share my grief with their own loss gives me comfort and understanding. I hope you find being here a place to cry and learn from others experiences.
Ever so slowly we have more good days. You will too. Sharon
Hang in there,

My husband also died from AML Leukemia at age 74. He lived 2 yrs. after being diagnosed. He did have remission for a few months and his hair came back and he felt much better for a while. We were blessed to celebrate our 50th anniversary the days before he had to return to the hospital when the disease re-occurred. He passed away 7 yrs. ago, and I am not feeling the pain of that first year. I still get lonely and hate holidays - but I gradually learned to be thankful for each day and not look too far ahead.
Big hugs to you - Doye

I know the sudden onset of my husband's cancer which was AML leukemia, was unbelievable. Ben, too, was a big, strong healthy man.
I understand how you feel. My hope is NO ONE , has to go through that kind of suffering. The sooner the cure the better.
Now, dear Jo, you are here and going through this devastating pain of grief. I came here, after Ben's passing, the wonderful people here, were so encouraging and supportive.
You are in a good place, to vent and affirm your emotions.
We are here for you,
Sending love, hope and peace........from Sandra
